Welcome to the website of Nat Barnes and Ventoux Media

A journalist for more than 30 years, I have worked across titles as diverse as national and local newspapers, business titles and international magazines and websites.

For 19 years I was the Motoring Editor at the Daily and Sunday Express newspapers, with the pages winning several awards during that time. At the Express I was solely responsible for the motoring pages writing, editing, planning and commissioning copy and liaising directly with the news and picture desks, designers and the respective editors.

I sit on the juries of both the World Car of the Year and UK Car of the Year awards, attend many new car product launches and most of the major international Motor Shows throughout the year. My automotive writing has appeared in numerous titles including Top Gear, Goodwood Road and Racing, Auto Trader, Business Traveller, Car and Auto Express.

I also own and edit EVs Unplugged , the best site for free and independent advice on buying, owning and running a new or used electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle.
